Dave Clarke MA (Ed), PGDip, BSc(Hons), RGN, RSCN.
Dave worked in adult critical care at the beginning of his career and later worked as a senior nurse in paediatric intensive care. He subsequently worked as a training advisor in the NHS and in 2001 moved to Cardiff University as a Lecturer.
His interests are simulation and clinical skills in children's nursing, he was influencial in his department comissioning one of the few dedicated children's skills laboaratories in the UK. He has published this project in the nursing press.
Daves PhD is exploring the experience of gay nursing students, he is a student in the Cardiff School of Social Sciences. This work is entrenched in the areas of sexualities, masculinities and equality/diversity.
He is external examiner for Birmingham City University and Kings College London and a member of the Paediatric Nursing Editorial Board.
