About
My PhD work explored the connection between biblical interpretation and embodiment in the writings of Jerome of Stridon (c. 345-420). I was particularly interested in how a model of the 'Christian self' was fashioned, and the relationship between biblical interpretation and memory in this process.
I am now looking at the the interplay of political theory and theology in ancient and modern readings of Paul.
Wider research interests include reception of early Christianity in early modernity, particularly incunabula editions, as well as the theorisation of memory in literary criticism.
